Agora que acabei a maratona Netflix posso falar da trilha sonora de Get Down, super seriado americano que mostra no fim dos anos 70´s a emergência do Hip Hop, com o nascimento da cultura DJ, a gênese poética do RAP, as expressões da dança break e a arte nas ruas com o Grafite.
Get Down tem fotografia e edição sensacionais, misturando cenas da época com as gravações relacionadas à trama, que dirigida por Baz Luhrmann (Moulin Rouge) ainda comta com as lendas Grandmaster Flash e Nas entre os produtores, e que no elenco reúne inspirado time de jovens atores, entre eles Jaden Smith (filho do Will Smith) e Giancarlo Espotiso (o traficante “Gus Fring” de Breaking Bad).
O cenário é o caótico verão de 1977 em Nova Iorque, no fim da era disco e com a cidade em franca decadência mas prestes a se renovar culturalmente à partir de suburbios como o Bronx. O figurino a cargo de Jeriana San Juan é um dos grandes destaques, mostrando a moda no dia a dia dos personagens, ajudando a tornar real cada cena e personagem.
